Ronen is excited to announce our 28th season. Our series will transport you with:

"An Evening of Romance " on Tuesday, October 4, 2011
The World Premiere of UIndy composer John Berner’s playful “Cabaret Songs” will spotlight the beautiful soprano voice of Kathleen Hacker and the sound of the bayan, a delightful folk instrument. ISO concertmasters Zach De Pue and Phil Palermo join Ronen in the Schubert string quartet, and in a pinnacle of romanticism, Brahms’ Quintet for Clarinet and Strings (with ISO principal clarinetist David Bellman.)

"A Night in Bohemia" on Monday, November 7, 2011
A wide array of musical styles will be on display for this program of Czech composers, beginning with a delightfully complex gem of Martinu and culminating with Dvorak's monumental Serenade conducted by Paul Krasnovsky.

"A Golden Evening with Stravinsky & Prokofiev " on Tuesday, March 13, 2012
Ronen is thrilled to host violinist Celeste Golden, Bronze Medalist of the 2006 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. This evening of Russian chamber music will abound in passion and brilliant musical colors.

"Janusz Korczak: A Biography in Sound"
on Sunday, April 22, 2012
This unique event will commemorate the life of Jewish author, pediatrician and Holocaust hero Janusz Korczak. Ronen musicians and actors will illuminate the story of this extraordinary man through dramatic readings of Korczak’s writings and performances of music of his Polish homeland and beyond which resonate with the ethos of his rich life and legacy.

We look forward to your joining our artistic directors, David Belllman and Ingrid Fischer-Bellman along with other Indianapolis Symphony musicians, at these four outstanding concerts.

Joyously Sharing Music
Our mission is to give music lovers an opportunity to hear both the small intimate works by great masters and the new, fresh, contemporary works for chamber ensembles in a setting that lets listeners hear and see music-making up close. Our presentation is casual with time for the audience to talk with the musicians after the performance.

A Bit of History
2005 We participated, for the first time, in the Indianapolis Spirit & Place Festival in collaboration with the Hasten Hebrew Academy.

2004We celebrated 20 years of chamber music in Indianapolis by featuring works of Indiana composers.

1997We featured women composers including the premier "Three Prophecies" written by Indiana's own Barbara Bell.

1993We exchanged new scores with chamber groups from Indianapolis sister cities in Germany and Poland.

1986We broadcast performances of Brahms, Debussy and Hodkinson on NPR in a series featuring chamber groups with ties to major symphony orchestras.

Come and be part of our future.
